Nina Simone, pianist,jazz singer, and civil rights activist was born in this house and lived here until her late teens. The Big House -- Home to the Allman Brothers Band, Families, Roadies, and Friends 1970 - 1973 John Coltrane's family lived in this corner apartment when John was born.
