Luke 14:31
When Jesus was talking to his disciples he came to the subject of cost. We're often reminded that salvation is free, and that's important, but there is a cost involved. I'm not talking about the cost that Jesus paid already; and in full. I'm talking about the cost to the disciple. It's not a bad cost. Not like spending $20,000 on a motorcycle when you can get a Street Triple for half that. It's more like having to give up cigarettes in order to breath the way you were designed to. At first, giving up cigarettes seems like a horrible idea, and very difficult, but as the years go by, many ex smokers come to realize that the cigarettes weren't that much fun to smoke in the first place. It just seemed like it because you forget how easy it was to breath before you began smoking.
Jesus asked, "Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?"
In the same discourse, Jesus warns that to follow him requires that you subjugate everything else to second place; even your own life -- mostly the spiritually unhealthy part of life. A lot is going to fall by the wayside. In the beginning that sounds like it's going to suck, but, like the 18th cigarette of the day, most of the stuff you leave behind wasn't really all that great to begin with.
This isn't about something so hard as salvation, or quitting the smokes, it's about a project that got more complicated than it seemed like it should be. My subframes came with with two plastic infills each. I guess a designer figured no one should be able to easily see what's on the other side of the subframe. The deal is, motorcycles need parts, and hoses, and wires to run. If these parts are frankly exposed, they are not unattractive. So whoever thought my subframes needed little plastic infills so that you can't see what's on the other side was wrong. I don't need the infills and we took them out. It wasn't as easy as we thought it should be, but they're gone now and I feel more honest.

Not a lot of plastic infills on these bikes.
There is a cliff just ahead. It's called Jumping Off Rock.
I didn't.
I am sure glad it's not fall yet. I liked the last couple falls,
but I like summer better.
Don't know who that is but we had fun watching.
