Messing Around On the Lathe

I needed a nipple to pipe a Scott Chain Oiler into a vacuum line. So I turned one on my new lathe.

The last career I had was working as a machinist. When I stopped at the machine shop and asked for a job, the owner showed me around and asked what I liked to do. I told him I like making small parts on a lathe. He said he had a lot more mills than lathes. I spent the next five years making big parts on a SIP 650 jig bore machine.

I'm retired now and recently bought a lathe. Now I get to make small parts on a lathe again.

This is where the nipple goes.
